African Research Network on Agricultural By-Products
[Afrikanisches Forschungsnetzwerk fuer landwirtschaftliche Nebenerzeugnisse]
now African Feeds Research Network. The African Research Network for Agricultural Byproducts (ARNAB) is one of three networks that should establish excellent national agricultural programms with well-trained and dedicated scientists and well-developed research facilities. They achieved cooperations of scientists in working towards common goals especially in the present climate of limited resources to assure the increase of livestock production in sub-Saharan Africa and the adequate fedding of animals all around the year. ARNAB is coordinated by ILCA withthe financial support of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada. They amalgamated with the Pasture Network for Eastern and Southern Africa (PANESA) and the West and Central Africa Forage Network (WECAFNET) to the pan-African African Feeds Research Network.
